Gait Analysis

This project aims to evaluate the gait of a person running on a treadmill, with low cost hardware, this project is developing an image processing software to capture, processing and evaluate the position of legs and arms joints.

In order to facilitate the image analysis we attach small highly reflective infrared fabric sticks to the body joints and illuminate the environment with infrared lights.

Figure below shows on the left an image captured using the described setup, and on the right, an screenshot form the developed software.
